The Warrnambool Base Hospital Mental Health Beds Expansion is a significant Victorian Government investment aimed at increasing access to safe, contemporary mental health care for regional communities. Delivered as part of a broader statewide mental health reform program, the redevelopment expands the hospital’s inpatient capacity and provides a modern, therapeutic environment designed to support patient wellbeing, staff safety and long-term operational performance.

Gerflor contributed to this important healthcare project by supplying high-performance flooring solutions tailored to the specialist requirements of mental health facilities. A total of 1,204m² of Ambiance Ultra was installed throughout patient and clinical areas, selected for its calming aesthetics and exceptional long-term durability in high traffic areas. In addition, Tarasafe H2O was supplied to wet areas, providing superior slip resistance and enhanced safety in barefoot areas.
