Hillmorton Hospital is designed and built to a 5-Star Green Star rating to include modern, therapeutic environments with centralised courtyards, single rooms and flexible spaces. This makes it the first public health facility in New Zealand to achieve a 5-Star rating under the Design & As Built v1.0 framework—a significant milestone for sustainable healthcare infrastructure.

Through our NZ partners Belgotex, Gerflor supplied Premium Acoustic and Taralay Impression Acoustic sheet vinyl for this project to help minimise impact sound transfer and enhance acoustic comfort across the space.

Both ranges combine acoustic control with design flexibility, offering a refreshed colour palette and resilient performance suited to demanding environments like healthcare facilities. The flooring also supports sustainability goals, being 100% recyclable, low in VOC emissions, reduced carbon fooprint and Global GreenTag Level A certification.
